Surrounding courses in the Haute-Savoie
are set amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe.
They include Chamonix, Megève, Avoriaz, Annecy, Les Gets,
Flaine and the Royal Club at Evian, overlooking Lake Geneva and
one of the finest clubs in France. Short course descriptions are
provided below.
Cleverly designed and excellently
maintained courses at altitudes up to 7,000ft give breathtaking
backdrops to every shot and add extra yardage to your tee shots.
Courses are between 15 and 75 minutes from Morzine. You can play
as often as you wish, or mix golf with some of the many other sports
and activities on offer.
Green fees are payable at the
courses in Euros and range from £20 to £50 per round.
Clubs can be hired at all courses. We can obtain discounts on green
fees and can guarantee tee times. All courses have good facilities
including clubhouse, restaurant, golf trolleys, electric cabbie
cars, etc.
Course descriptions
Morzine-Avoriaz: 15 minutes drive
The 9-hole golf course, designed by Hugues Lambert,
is located at the entry to the Avoriaz resort on the Proclou site,
which is an area of outstanding natural beauty set amidst pine
trees and surrounding mountains. It covers a distance of 2,930m
and offers 9-hole round green fees as well as 18-hole green fees.
Les Gets: 15 minutes
drive
This 18-hole course was designed by Olivier Dongradi.
Enjoy a round of golf and see how he has succeeded in combining
a breathtaking alpine setting with an authentic technical challenge
while respecting the rules that govern golf course design. It is
a par 70 course and covers 5,227m. Competitions are held every
Sunday and Wednesday.
Flaine les Carroz: one hour drive
R. Berthes skillfully designed this course in
1986, at 1,500m one of the highest in Europe. He could not have
chosen a more majestic natural setting, overlooking the valley
of the Arve and the ski resort of Flaine. It has 18 holes and is
a par 63. No handicap is required.
Annecy: one hour 15 minutes drive
Accessible to players of all levels, the Golf
Club du Lac d’Annecy ranges over the listed site of Roc de
Chère, a protected nature reserve. This hilly and wooded
course, which calls for skill and accuracy, will surprise you with
some lofty tees and magnificent views of the mountains, the lake
and Ch âteau de Menthon St Bernard. |
